Our Story

HOPE organization is based at Lohardaga, Ranchi, Gumla and Simdega District, Working on the issues of Child Rights, equity in education for all, child protection issues, ensuring pro-people inclusive development process and enhancing decentralized governance, the focus group is children, youth, women, tribal community, and other poor and under privileged community. HOPE believes that vision and action can change the world, and that’s the spirit gives encouragement to do small efforts for the big change.
HOPE Trust is originated in the year 2000 but registered in the year 2003 by a group of young people involved in social sector. Around 12-15 young and few matured guardian supported to form an organization and took an initiative in the field of development. It was a step towards social change. The HOPE name was not a coincident but named arrived because of a vision to bring hope in the life of distressed people. The members of HOPE were initially involved in different social organization, government sector and socio-economic development based organization. During their job they felt that there must be an organization which can bring hope in people’s life and to make their voice stronger. All the members of the organization belong to Jharkhand and they have special interest and dedication to change the society of Jharkhand. Lohardaga is a small district and few organizations working in this sector of social work. The HOPE family felt that there should be an organization which will work not only for the research and documentation but to reach the un reached people, giving voice to the unheard and facilitate them and strengthen them to take action against exploitation, injustice, and other social issues. Initially, organization started with charitable work and small contribution from the friends and well wishers. At the same time the need of registration was felt by the group of (4 women and 3 men) of people to take the right efforts in this process. As a result the same informal group formally formed a cadre and decided to give their time efforts for social transformation. Finally, on May 13th 2003 HOPE registered under Indian Trust Act 1882.
